Rules for Elora Plein Air Festival 2026

1. Check-in:
   • Wednesday, May 13 - Friday, May 15: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday, May 16: 7:00 am - 11:00 am
   • Location: Elora Centre for the Arts, 75 Melville St, Elora, ON N0B 1S0
   • Maximum participants: 75 (Advanced registration recommended)
2. Artwork Preparation:
   • Transparent or opaque grounds (without 3D textures) are permitted.
   • All supports must be stamped before painting—unstamped works will not be accepted.
3. All paintings must be created ‘en plein air’ (outdoors).
4. Artists must follow all festival rules.
5. Artwork Size:
   • Maximum 24” x 24” or 576 sq. inches
   • Artists must provide their own materials.
6. Painting Locations:
   • Any outdoor subject within the Township of Centre Wellington.
   • Location suggestions will be available at registration.
7. Show & Sale:
   • Sunday, May 17 at Elora Centre for the Arts (12:00 pm - 5:00 pm)
   • New: Ticketed ‘Reveal’ event on Saturday, May 16 (7:00 - 9:00 pm)
8. Artist Submission Guidelines:
   • Maximum: 2 works per artist for the show.
   • 1 additional piece is permitted for the Nocturne Competition
